Team Up is delighted to have completed our pilot term of both tuition and enrichment partnership with Goldsmiths University. Goldsmiths university students delivered Maths/English tuition once per week over a period of 10 weeks to Year 11 pupils (20 pupils at Addey and Stanhope School and 20 pupils at Deptford Green School). The academic progress of pupils overall was very positive; pupils improved by an average of 0.7 grades over the programme and this is over double the amount of progress typically made by pupils across this timeframe.

Pupils were also invited to visit the Goldsmiths University Campus. They toured the university campus and had the opportunity to ask lots of questions about what higher education entails. 82% of pupils who went on the trips said that they felt that they understood more about progression to university after the trips. We are very pleased with the positive impact that the tuition and enrichment trips have had on pupils involved in our partnership with Goldsmiths University.
