Autumn Term off to a great start

Autumn Term off to a great start
Posted by David Walker on 31 October 2019

Team Up are delighted at how the first half of Autumn term has gone, with 22 programmes running, supported by 180 tutors, including a number of new schools.

We’ve welcomed two new Programme Managers: Darren Pilbro, with a background in Secondary science teaching and the charity sector and Rachel Levy, who has significant Primary experience. Both bring new strengths to the team.

In addition David Walker, our new CEO, started in September. David comes with significant experience of the education and charity sectors at a national level.

We’ve also been joined by Latasha Jackson as Volunteer Officer, who has been hard at work recruiting new tutors.

We’ve spent half term reviewing pupil progress and producing Mid-Programme reports. We are very pleased that attendance and effort scores are above target and pupil progress is strong.

We’re also pleased to have increased the number of new Sixth Form tutors and feedback has been excellent: “Exquisite tutors and completely clear explanation” Rokeby School.

We are growing the number of schools we work with and are close to capacity for Spring 2020. If you’d like to run a programme and haven’t confirmed yet, please speak to your programme manager or contact camilla.lupton@teamup.org.uk
