I joined the team in August 2018 as part of the Jack Petchey Foundation Internship Programme, which is designed to give young people a head start in the charitable sector and provide organisations with new team members to aid in widening their impact!

So far, my role has included recruiting and supporting volunteers that take part in our tuition programmes, increasing the presence of our charity on university campuses across London and presenting our opportunity to sixth formers and college students in assemblies and fairs. I also deal with the administrative duties regarding our volunteers and provide support with programme delivery tasks. This role has given me an insight into the running of a small charity and the importance of my role in the overall success and impact of the organisation. I am taking on new responsibilities every day and I look forward to what the next few months will bring.

I am also excited to see how this role and my internship with the Jack Petchey Foundation will develop my professional confidence and ability to take on new challenges. Along with Team Up, the Jack Petchey Foundation offers me support and training opportunities, which will be helpful in getting me ready for future opportunities in the charitable sector.

Thank you to the Jack Petchey Foundation for the opportunity to be a part of such a great organisation and a positive solution!
