Moniqué joined Team Up as the Tutor Engagement Officer in August 2018 and is responsible for recruiting and supporting volunteers, marketing, and performing administrative tasks.
Moniqué graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition. Whilst at university, she volunteered with an educational charity where she tutored children who had English as a second language. After graduating, Moniqué worked as an assistant manager for a private tuition company after feeling inspired by her previous experiences with children.
Team Up’s approach of targeting children from low-income backgrounds and engaging volunteers interested in tackling social inequality is what captured Moniqué’s initial interest in the organisation.
She joins us as part of the Jack Petchey Foundation Internship Programme, an initiative designed to give young people a flying start in the charitable sector, with the aim of creating the next generation of charity leaders as well as providing organisations with new team members to widen their impact.
