UCAS Masterclass with Quintessentially Education 2026

As a way of recognising and celebrating the invaluable contributions of our volunteer tutors, Team Up provides a range of workshops, masterclasses, and seminars designed to enhance skills, expand knowledge, and support continued professional development.

For our first seminar of the 2026-2027 academic year, Team Up partnered up with Quintessentially Education to deliver a UCAS applications masterclass. Excitingly for this year, the masterclass was available for all Sixth Form students who attend a school that Team Up is partnered with. Designed specifically for Sixth Form students, the masterclass supports students as they explore their options and prepare for the next stage of their educational journey. The session offered practical guidance and valuable insights for those considering higher education, including the latest updates on the UCAS application process and the changes that have recently been introduced.

Quintessentially Education is an education consultancy and private tuition provider that supports students worldwide, offering services ranging from personal statement advice to mock interview preparation.

We were fortunate to be joined by two experts in further education and university applications, Quintessentially Education’s Amelia Buckworth (Head of Education Partnerships and Services) and Dr Sarah Rabinowe (Lead Education Consultant). They provided valuable insights and practical guidance on navigating the UCAS application process, with a particular focus on crafting a compelling personal statement that highlights individual strengths, demonstrates genuine enthusiasm, and helps applicants stand out when applying for their chosen course.

The session was divided into two parts: a comprehensive walkthrough of the UCAS application process, followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment. Tutors were invited to send questions for Dr Sarah in advance, with further opportunities to ask questions in the chat throughout the masterclass.

Team Up extends its sincere thanks to Amelia and Dr Sarah for dedicating their time and expertise to delivering this valuable opportunity for Sixth Form students. Through our ongoing collaboration on UCAS masterclasses, they have provided essential guidance and practical advice to help young people strengthen their university applications, highlight their individual strengths, and approach the exciting next step in their educational journey with greater confidence.
