As a small token of appreciation for our inspiring volunteer tutors, Team Up is dedicated to offering a variety of workshops, masterclasses, and seminars to support their ongoing education and professional growth.
For our Spring 2025 seminar, Team Up partnered once again with Quintessentially Education to deliver a UCAS applications masterclass, specifically designed for our incredible Sixth Form tutors as they navigate their own paths toward further education. This session provided valuable advice for our young tutors aspiring to higher education. The masterclass included the most up to date information about UCAS application, in line with the recent changes to the process that will start to be implemented this year.
Quintessentially Education is an education consultancy and private tuition provider that supports students worldwide, offering services ranging from personal statement advice to mock interview preparation.
We were fortunate to be joined again by two experts in further education and university applications, Quintessentially Education’s Jessica Harris (Head of Education) and Dr Sarah Rabinowe (Academic Consultant). They shared a wealth of knowledge and advice on how to complete your UCAS application, including what to incorporate in your personal statement to help you stand out and effectively showcase your passion for the subject you wish to study.
As Head of Education at Quintessentially, Jess oversees the development and delivery of the organisation’s tailored education consultancy services. She and her team support students worldwide applying to UK and US institutions, providing personalised one-on-one guidance to help each student make informed decisions about their future. Jess truly embodies Quintessentially Education’s consultancy ethos: ‘Explore. Prepare. Succeed’.
With over ten years of experience, Academic Consultant Dr. Sarah Alexis Rabinowe specialises in supporting independent home and international applicants aiming to attend UK and US higher education institutions. Offering guidance on admissions procedures across a wide range of disciplines, Dr. Rabinowe’s approach focuses on preparing candidates for success not only during the application process but also in developing the skills needed for their next stage of academic growth.
The masterclass consisted of two sections: a detailed step-by-step presentation showing the UCAS application process, and a Q&A session. Tutors had the chance to submit questions for Jess and Dr. Sarah prior to the seminar and were encouraged to share additional questions in the chat as the session unfolded.
Team Up would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jess and Dr. Sarah for generously sharing their time and expertise in leading this unique opportunity for our Sixth Form tutors. Across the UCAS seminars that we have collaborated with them on, their guidance has been invaluable in helping our tutors get ahead and receive advice that will help them stand out as they embark on the challenging yet exciting journey of applying for university.
